DSC stands for Digital Signature Certificates, which is in an electronic format. In today’s dynamic business parlance DSC is equivalent of paper or physical certificates. Digital Signatures are used for digitally signing the documents. Now a days Digital Signatures are mandatory for filing Income Tax Returns, GST Returns, Income Tax Forms, Filings related to Company/ LLP on MCA Portals.
Digital Signature Certificate in India is issued by the Certifying Authority. Digital Signature Certificate in India is issued by the Certifying Authority. As per Section 2(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 Certifying Authority" (CA) means a person who has been granted a license to issue a Digital Signature Certificate under section 24 of the said Act.
